Understanding what the concept of health is all about is certainly a challenging endeavor to say the least. It seems all too common that we’ve been lulled to sleep in accepting the general mentality that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The problem with this approach is that we create a false illusion with our health care standards.

Too many people fall into the category of crisis care or emergency treatment rather than promoting a lifestyle of preventative care. We’ve ignored all the warning signs and unfortunately have relied too heavily on conventional medicine; i.e., pharmaceutical therapy and surgical procedures to relieve the symptoms without ever really addressing the true causes of our diseases.

“Everyone says there’s nothing wrong with me, but then why do I feel so bad?” Does this sound familiar? Is there anything else we can do other than medicate the symptoms with the hope that our problems will simply go away?

Aches and pains, discomforts and fatigue are all warning signals that our body is trying to communicate with us. The real question is: are we listening to our bodies or do we simply wait until the damage is done and then suffer the consequences due to years of neglect and an unhealthy lifestyle?

The original concept for 90 Days to Better Health was created after years of clinical observations of our patients in my dental practice. Since practicing dentistry for over 25 years, I eventually developed a holistic approach for dental care and its relationship to the rest of the body.

My philosophy for dental care as well as for general health care can best be explained within the following two paragraphs. Not only did this message change the way I practice dentistry, but it also enlightened me to discover a new and healthier way of living. Since then, I have made a commitment to share this knowledge and information with my family and friends and all of our patients who may be searching to improve their own health and lifestyles for now and in the future.

A Mouth Full of Evidence The oral cavity is the only place you can see your skeleton is when you smile or open your mouth. Your mouth is the easiest place to see what is happening, not only to your teeth and gums, but to your healthin general. The junction formed by your teeth and the biologic seal around them is very sensitive to blood-sugar, hormonal, immune and stress changes, to name a few. This gummy junction serves as a good monitor of inflammatory reaction and connective tissue breakdown both in the mouth and elsewhere.

If your diet deviates 10% from your biologic norm, it may show up first as dental disease, inflamed gums or dental decay. If it deviates more, you may get arthritis, even more and you may suffer a heart attack or even get cancer. These diseases often indicate a lifestyle and diet which is not healthy and for which your body is no longer able to compensate.

90 Days to Better Health is designed to address these concerns regarding your diet and lifestyle events. It will also instruct you on how to promote and maintain a healthy disposition. Improving your body chemistry and getting back to basic health practices are our goals for you. This program will concentrate on the following areas:
